The End of the Trail is a classic piece of western art.  Interestingly, although James Earl Fraser was a very prolific artist and has many public commission to his credit, he is really only known for two pieces of art, this and the Buffalo Nickel.  In this piece he captures the worn-down feelings of the Indians being pushed off of their territory and onto reservations.
