The
following is a list of
statements made by F&R
Bronze and Bronze Works, which we
believe to be false and misleading.
These statements appear on
their web sites, eBay ads,
and in Google and Yahoo
sponsor advertisements.
If you
have purchased from these
companies or even considered
purchasing from these
companies based on any of
these false claims, please
contact us.
F & R Bronze /
Bronze Works
F&R Bronze
(FRBronze.com) and Bronze
Works (LifesizeBronze.com)
are actually one in the same
company. These businesses are run by
Will Stuckenberg and his
wife out of their home in
Joplin Missouri with a post
office box at Mailboxes,
Etc. in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Their marketing and
advertising claims are outrageous. Below is just a sampling of
their false advertising
claims along with the truth.
False
Claim - Lowest Price
Guarantee. (F&R Bronze)
Truth
- According to the Federal
Trade Commission (FTC) in
order for a business to
advertise or guarantee the
lowest prices they must have
good reason to believe their
prices are the lowest and be
able to substantiate this
claim with proof. F&R
Bronze does not have the
lowest prices. Making
a claim or guarantee of the
lowest prices is false and
misleading to consumers who
think they will not find the
same product lower. It
is also damaging to
competitors whose prices are
actually the lowest.
If you purchased a bronze
statue from them thinking
you were getting the lowest
prices please contact us!
False
Claim - Wholesale Prices
(F&R Bronze and Bronze
Works)
Truth
- According to the FTC the
terms "wholesaler,"
"wholesale prices," "factory
to you," etc. cannot be used
unless the unless the
implied savings can be
substantiated by meeting
all
of the following
requirements 1) All
advertised merchandise is
manufactured by the
advertiser or in factories
controlled by the
advertiser. 2) The
advertiser owns or directly
controls a wholesale
distribution facility.
3) The prices must be the
current prices which
retailers usually and
customarily pay when they
buy such merchandise.
FR Bronze
or Bronze works do not own
the facilities where their
products are manufactured.
They have no wholesale
distribution facility for
these products. Most
of their products are stored
in a wholesale warehouse
facility in California and
the products are shipped
directly to the customer.
And, they are buying from
the wholesaler and selling
to the consumer, so unless
they are selling them at
cost they are not selling
their products at the price
other retails (like us)
would pay. So clearly
any reference to wholesale
prices is false and
misleading to consumers.
If you purchased a bronze
statue from them thinking
you were getting the
wholesale prices please
contact us!
False
Claim - Made in the
United States
Truth
- While many of their
products are made by a
company that is based in the
United States, at least a
third of their products are
manufactured in Thailand and
imported by a wholesale
company in Delaware.
So clearly any reference to
the fact that their products
are made in the US is false
and misleading to consumers
False
Claim - Price
comparisons.
Truth
- There a number of false
claims related to price
comparisons that have no
basis in fact.
According to the FTC, an
advertiser cannot make price
comparisons unless they can
be substantiated. To
say that a statue sells for 6000
when you can buy it from any
number of retailers for
under $3000 is
just a false statement and
misleading to consumers who
think they are getting a
good deal. If you
purchased a bronze statue
from them thinking you were
getting substantially
reduced prices from
advertised comparisons
please contact us!
Clearly,
F&R Bronze and Bronze Works
are routinely engaged in
making false and misleading
statements on their web
site, Ebay, in their Google and
Yahoo advertising, and in
catalogs, brochures and
more.
